| The
South Pavilon |
| Lobby entrance at 125
West 18th Street |
The South Pavilion's polished oak floors are accentuated by late
19th-century architectural highlights. The contemporary south lobby
(125 West 18th Street) features high white walls, burnished silver
accents, and a mint green terrazzo floor glinting with inlaid sea shells.
The South Pavilion hosts product launches, receptions, and dinners
throughout the year, as well as sample sales, meetings, and exhibits.
This room is well-regarded, having seen everything from the world’s
largest Chocolate Kiss—unveiled here by Hershey—to the wedding
of Stephon Marbury of the New York Knicks; W Magazine’s glittering
parties to fund-raising dinners for such worthy causes as Tibet House.
